Dr. Andrew Holzman is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and a Corneal Surgery specialist. He is the Medical Director at Holzman Laser Vision in Tysons Corner and also performs surgery and patient evaluations at TLC Laser Eye Centers in Rockville. Prior to joining TLC, he was the Medical Director of Millennium Laser Eye Center. He has performed more than 50,000 procedures and has been named a "Star Surgeon" by VISX for his performance as a refractive surgeon.

Dr. Holzman graduated in 1983 with honors from Emory University. He received his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his Ophthalmology residency at George Washington University. Dr. Holzman's refractive and corneal transplantation skills were further refined at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute, where he completed a Corneal Surgery Fellowship.

Dr. Holzman has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is active in numerous refractive surgery and corneal societies, including:

Dr. Holzman has been a leader in bringing new technologies to the metro DC market. He was the first physician to perform CK (Conductive Keratoplasty) in the DC area and has been instrumental to the success of Intralase and the Bladeless LASIK procedure both regionally and nationally. Dr Holzman has extensive experience in many vision correction procedures, and has served as a National Trainer and Regional Instructor for other physicians. He has been published and lectures extensively on refractive surgery issues. Dr. Holzman has been the choice of hundreds of referring Eye Doctors when they choose a LASIK Surgeon for their own patients. Many of these same Doctors have shown the ultimate trust by having Dr. Holzman perform Laser Vision Correction on themselves and their family members as well. Dr Holzman was born in New York in 1961 and spent his childhood in Cranford, New Jersey. He met his wife Nancy while in Medical School at the University of Miami, as Nancy was attending the University of Miami School of Law. They spent several years together while Dr Holzman was in training for his Ophthalmology career and came to settle in Boca Raton, Florida where Dr. Holzman practiced for several years. They moved to the metro DC area in 1999, as Dr Holzman was opening a new Laser Vision Correction center called Millennium Laser Eye Centers in McLean, Virginia. In 2005, Millennium Laser Eye Centers merged with TLC Laser Eye Centers, and Dr. Holzman maintained his same address and center location. They have two grown children, Rachel and Daniel. Rachel attends the University of Wisconsin and Daniel is attending the University of Miami. The family enjoys the company of their two golden retrievers, CJ and Wade. Dr Holzman is an outdoor enthusiast and is very active athletically. Other hobbies include golf, travel and music. Dr. Holzman is known for his caring and outgoing personality, and very much enjoys his lifelong career of correcting vision disorders.
